Birnam Highland Games - 28th August 2010

Here you will find information on our games as well as information on accomodation, shops, places to stay, places to eat, and activities in Birnam and Dunkeld.

The Birnam Highland Games are traditional Scottish Highland Games held amidst stunning Perthshire scenery. The games have been held annually since 1864 and we warmly invite you to come along next year on Saturday the 28th August to experience for yourself the fun and culture that has kept the Games so popular for over a century.

Events at the Games include:

• Performances by the Blairgowrie and Rattray Pipe Band
• Heavy Events (including Tossing the caber)
• Solo Piping
• Highland Dancing
• Field & Track Events
• Cycling
• Fun Fair

Unique events at the Birnam Highland Games include the Scottish 800m footrace championship, the Mad Kiltie Dash, and the World Haggis Eating Championship!
