The Chieftain

"Whether watching the heavyweight competition or going to the fairground, I have many happy memories of the Games from my childhood. The Games have been a high point of the year in Birnam for nearly one and a half centuries, and continue to go from strength to strength. This is thanks largely to the year-round efforts of a dedicated Committee, for whose hard work we are all grateful.

Apart from supporting the Committee's work, it is my great pleasure to welcome all visitors and competitors, many of whom come from abroad. Your support is much appreciated and will hopefully ensure that the Games continue for at least another 150 years!

I wish you all an enjoyable and entertaining day."
